In an effort to support Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment (B-BBEE) and embrace social responsibility, Radio Network Solutions (RNS) will donate more than R3-million to the National Institute for the Deaf (NID).

RNS has formed a strategic partnership with the NID, who will be utilising the funds to train disabled individuals in a variety of skills, inclusive of the agriculture, construction, hospitality and jewellery-making industries.

The NID is a specialist training and skills development facility that provides certified SETA and SAQA skills development and learnership training programmes for people with disabilities. The College has a successful track record of finding permanent employment for more than 90% of its students. The NID also plays a critical role in B-BBEE development and the transformation policy.

“The programme supports RNS’s mission to empower individuals and provide our fellow citizens and younger generation with the means necessary to grow and gain financial stability,” says RNS sales director, Richard Hill. “We look forward to our partnership and continuous collaboration with the NID. Funding this project is only the first step of many we hope to take in contributing to our society.”
