RNS now Majority Black-owned

It is official. Radio Network Solutions (RNS) has already achieved their 2019 black-owned goal in the first half of 2018.
“Shalamuka Capital II recently purchased a further amount of RNS’ shares,” explains Graham Diss, RNS Managing Director. “This purchase gave us a tremendous boost towards our black-owned goal for 2019.”
Another strategic investment, towards the achievement of the 2019 goal, was to register the ‘RNS Educational Trust’. The Trust’s mission and focus will be to empower black South African women under the age of 35. Its aim is to invest in and support these women with their educational costs, training and work placement.
“The Shalamuka Capital II purchase combined with the Trust’s registration will bring the total black ownership of the company over the 51% target and meets our internal goals set at the end of last year,” elaborates Diss. “RNS will revisit their B-BBEE accreditation in the near future to ensure the Certification includes the Majority Black ownership.”
