Sun City benefits from RNS DAS solutions
In 2017, Radio Network Solutions (RNS) implemented the first phase of a range of upgrades for Sun City Resort in the North-West province of South Africa.
During 2018, RNS was contracted to extend the system to include coverage at the Superbowl, entertainment centre and the Valley of the Waves. This phase of the project has now been completed and final testing and integration is scheduled for the end of October, giving enough time to ensure optimal performance before Africa’s Major Golf event, the Nedbank Golf Challenge.
High speed connectivity for such prestigious events is a non-negotiable demand in today’s technical environment. The fact that this phase has been completed on schedule will bring relief to the operators and consumers at the world-famous Resort.
The Valley of the Waves has its own dedicated LENS antenna, providing the option of MIMO capability and/or multi-sector upgrades where and when required.
“The upgrades allow subscribers of various networks to use voice-connectivity, applications and other systems that require wireless connectivity,” says RNS sales director, Richard Hill. “It is a privilege to connect renowned resorts, such as Sun City.”
