Coca Cola Dome Indoor coverage solution

Internationally recognised event centre, the Coca Cola Dome in the northern suburbs of Johannesburg, required a mobile indoor coverage solution to provide voice and data connectivity for a capacity of more than 20,000 users. The layout and design of the building with its circular design and perimeter walkways provided specific radio coverage challenges.

RNS deployed highly specialised stadium antennas on the central walkway high above the floor which allowed for four sectors and coverage of the whole usable visitors' space. These antennas were conventionally cabled back to a 'new' equipment room and then linked via multimode fibre back to the 'existing' equipment room.
